Oil catchers, grease catchers

Oil catchers. Plants are installed in the following places:

  • gas stations;
  • car wash stations;
  • parking lots;
  • garages;
  • industrial companies (for separation of oil products out of surface and industrial wastewater);
  • railways, terminals, ports (for collection of oil products discharged from locomotives and tank-wagons).

Grease catchers are used for treatment of wastewater (polluted with grease), generated in cafes, restaurants, canteens and other food industry companies. Equipment of higher efficiency is manufactured according to individual projects and calculations. The manufacturer has the right to change the parameters of products, in order to maintain efficiency of treatment.  
Warranties. Traidenis UAB provides a 10-year warranty for a defect-free quality of the body of each treatment unit.

 

About oil catchers

For treatment of surface wastewater, polluted with oil products, Traidenis UAB produces and installs treatment plants of the two modifications – NGP and NGP-S – with efficiency of 1l/s–70l/s. The connection of several plants allows creating of integral, complex wastewater treatment system with efficiency higher than 70l/s. 
Plants of different modifications use the same wastewater treatment technological scheme.  NGP and NGP-S type plants are different in the following way: in the NGP type unit, sand, dirt and oil product separators are manufactured as separate products, whereas in NGP-S type plant, these separators are produced in a single tank as one product. Technological elements of plants can be installed in both vertical and horizontal cylinder-type glass-fibre tank.

Principal of operation

The plant consists of three chambers. First of all, the flow of wastewater passes to the first chamber – the settling vessel – where water is settles and particles of large hydraulic size settle. From the settling vessel, wastewater passes the second chamber, where the emulsified oil, present in water, binds into larger drops with the help of the coalescence filter and these drops quickly rise to water surface. Wastewater further enters the third chamber, where additional absorbing filters FIBROIL are installed. Wastewater is treated with the efficiency of up to 5mg/l. 
The plant is fitted with two protection systems: automatic blocking device and automatic alarm system. Automatic blocking device prevents accidental leakage of oil products, if these are not eliminated in due time (exceeding the permissible amount of accumulated pollutants in the plant). Automatic alarm system signalizes about the thickness of accumulated marginal layer of oil products in the catcher.

About grease catchers

Grease catchers are used for treatment of wastewater (polluted with grease), generated in cafes, restaurants, canteens and other food industry companies. Other wastewater (faeces, surfaces wastewater) cannot enter the equipment. Grease catchers are used as primary treatment elements. These are mounted in a single glass-fibre tank. A sensor with an alarm signal is fitted in the grease catcher. All necessary checks and pumping of grease are carried out by removing a lid located on the top of the equipment. Treatment efficiency - 70%.

Advantages of the equipment are as follows:
•    produced in different capacities; 
•    no internal movable parts that should be maintained or replaced; 
•    durable light glass-fibre construction; 
•    no necessity to remove water, when servicing.

Principal of operation 

Grease catcher consists of cylinder-type vertical or horizontal tank divided into two chambers. Wastewater passes the first chamber via the inlet pipe. The highest amount of grease is withheld here; however liquid grease is fully withheld in the second chamber. The catcher is fitted with the automatic signal block with a sensor. The sensor signalizes about the amount of grease accumulated in the equipment. When the respective amount is achieved, the sensor reports by sound signal about the necessity to remove accumulated grease. The layer of grease cannot be higher than 15cm.
